Hello there,

Good tricky question, so I'll start with few facts. So far, untill the Twenty20 world championship - 46 T20 matches has been played. Thus before the Championship - there were 19 matches already played around the world.

First one was played at Auckland between Australia & New Zealand.

& coming on ground, Johannesburg had hosted the most - 4 T20 matches before the world tournament. Second in list was Auckland with 3 matches. Southampton & The Oval in England has also hosted 2 international matchups of shortest version of cricket.

Even Nairobi Gymkhana ground hosted 3 twenty20 International just before the T20 championship. Yet, as your answer - Johannesburg had hosted most twenty20 games before the big tournament.
