Topic: why is dhoni hated by some?

this topic is a reflection of the atmosphere of unwarranted animosity towards dhoni which i have experienced in the surrounding. to like or dislike one for cricketing reasons is justified, but crucifying one for reasons not part of the gentleman's game is a disgust. msd is the lsd of the indian team, the motivating soul, the gambler impersonified leading the team to glorius heights. how in the world then ppl fail to recognizie what is announcing itself so loudly. why is dhoni a cricketer from ranchi ( more from bihar/jharkhand) and not the cricketer of india. the answer to why is a sense of insecurity in accepting heroes which are away from you in culture but how can this ever be right?

Prash, you've exaggerated the hatered MS Dhoni recieves. Cricketers are loved and hated equally in India, depending upon we fans see results. There's nothing to do with from which state Dhoni is. He lead our team to victory in T20 World Cup 2007 then in Australia and then quite some more.. we loved him. Recently, his own performance and that of our team has deremarked. and hence, captain is criticised.

The criticism if limited to cricket is definitely acceptible, but what i am sharing is not an exaggerated account. You may choose to be blind but it really wont make the world a happy place. A captain of the Indian national team in itself claims the right to be respected by all. The situation can be compared to that of US elections, where some white racists just fail to recognise the fact that an african american is leading their nation. "What is there , will be there and so why talk about it" is an attitude i really cant relate to.

dhoni is a good cricketer according to my thinking.He is one of the best indian captain who has led the team in many difficulties .but i think he shows of too much.

He is not very pleasing to the eye, on the other hand I really like the styles of Ross Taylor and Kallis. Both have the most beautiful cover drive!
I almost forgot to mention Sarwan's cut, its ferocious!

It's just a typical bad mentality of some people(those hatting Dhoni),
they r jealous of Dhoni is No.  1 batsman in r the cricket rankings.
typical shots like helicopter shot & HE CAN HIT SIX TO ANY BOWLER IN THE WORLD.

I dont think many hate MSD...Few may do just because they are jealous.After Sachin , he is a cricketer who is so humble and proved his worth many a times.So stop hating , start loving
